I recently got a b16a1 engine with no tranny. I know it suppose to have a cable clutch but I dont really want a cable clutch. What are my options??

As far as options go, I don't know if any one has made a kit to convert to hydro tranny. My question to you is why do you want to? So many people think that a hydro tranny is better then a cable type. When really they are mostly the same on the inside, the main difference between the 2 is how the clutch arm is moved to ingage and disingage the cluth. One uses a cable to pull the arm up, and the other uses fluid to push the arm out. One has alot more working part and the other is simple and very affective. In my oppinion it is alot of hassel and work for very little gain. Also with a cable clutch you have ALOT more adjustment in the petal feel then with a hydro. Just my thoughts good luck to you in your choice.
Well that my be true, I don't know but if you want a talk about ratio, and you want a short tight one then you need to get a YS1 tranny. It's cable clutch, and were in 90-93 Integra GS, and 92-93 GSR. That's the tranny that I have bolted to my ls motor now, and I can tell you for sure it's tight!! At 80 MPH in 5th gear the motor is reving at 4,100 RPM! Not exactly fuel effecient, but that's the price you pay for performance!! Another good thing is that they are fairly cheap and easy to get a hold of as long as you ask for 90-93 GS and not GSR. Junk yards hear GSR and the price goes up 400$ or more!!!! Just a little food for thought. I paied 400$ for mine and it only had 60K on it, where if it were a hydro with 60k and GSR ratio you'ld be looking at around 800$-1000$. Good luck!
