Default CTR std pistons or not yet?

im planning on swapping a gsr head (pp/crower retainers and springs/ferrea valves/itr cams/skunk2 cam gears) this weekend onto my gsr motor....since the head is going to be removed...im thinking about if i should go for the CTR std pistons also? (cr going to be around 12.01)

since i dont have alot of cash to spend on tuning for now...im going to retard my timing to around 10...good or bad? and raise fuel psi to around 50 ...

please helpppppppp
