crap---need hynrid help asap!!!
alright, this is my second brand new headgasket and i dont want it to go to waste.
it seems like i forgot to install the dowel pins that go between the block and the head on the gsr motor...before the shop puts a timing belt on, im gonna tell them that i forgot those bastards. now, can i reuse the headgasket???? i know it gets crushed when torqued, but the car has not been turned over yet. should i just get a new one>? also, where do the two dowel pins go??????
b18c1 is the motor.

personally i would reuse it, the engine hasn't been heated to weaken the gasket. Most everyone else will say to get a new gasket though, cause once they are crushed they aren't meant to be reused which is true. I have also forgotten to pit the pins in before and nothing ever happened, till i put a rod through the block
it was probably me running it to 8k all day everyday, I feel that as long as you line up the gasket right, you shouldn't have a problem, but thats just my opinion
