Comfused plz help
So I did my research HT I looked up the 96-97 Type R specs and the 98-00 Type R and I found different specs on both.
I went to JDM ENGINE DEPOT.com
Link to 96-97 Type R : http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/jdm_en...al_Engine_Swap
Link to the 98-00 Type R : http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/jdm_en...al_Engine_Swap
And compared the two diff engine swaps . The specs for the 96-97 says it is
Code:B18C Integra Type-R OBD2 Manual Engine SwapYear:96-97Valve Train:4-CYLINDER, DOHC VTEC, 16-VALVEDisplacement:1797 ccHorse Power:200 HP @ 8100 RPMTorque:134 LBS-FT @ 6200 RPMCompression:11.0:1Red Line:8400Transmission:Weight:700 lbs
Then the 98-00 specs are
Code:B18C Integra Type-R Manual Engine SwapYear:98-01Valve Train:4-Cylinder, DOHC VTEC, 16-VALVEDisplacement:1797 ccHorse Power:197 HP @ 8000 RPMTorque:127 LBS-FT @ 6200 RPMCompression:11.1:1Red Line:8600Transmission:5-SPEED LSDWeight:800 lbs
So my question is woukd the 96-97 swap be best for me seems that is has slightly more
power and torque. Thanks HT

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but the 96-97 motor should be OBD2A, whereas the 98-00 motor should be OBD2B. I'd guy the motor to match the chassis, for simplicity's sake.
There's like a 5hp difference (cam profiles perhaps) The difference in the swaps are basically in the transmission gearing. The 96-97 has the 4.4 and the 98+ has the 4.7.
