Code: P0170
Whats good HT ArtyTheKid here I own a 97 civic Y8 / Y7 5-speed coupe
Had it scanned earlier today & this is what came up. . .
Code: P0170
Generic Definition: Fuel Trim Bank One
The power-train control module uses the oxygen sensor to calculate the air / fuel ratio of the engine. The computer has recognized a rich or lean condition on one engine bank only.
Probable Causes:
1. If bank one & two codes set together suspect fuel pressure or mass air flow sensor
2. Oxygen sensor defective
3. Ignition misfire-repair
4. Fuel injector problem
So anybody had this code come up & if so what did you do to resolve it? Money is tight right now really don't wanna just start buying sensors & messing with stuff. . .
But anyway, I did Head Gasket + head bolts, intake / exhaust mani. gaskets, valve cover gasket + seals & TB gasket. Along with a complete tune-up & a few extra parts here & there. So down to business. . . When I took off the head cylinder num. 4 was wet. I don't know if it was wet from oil or fuel? So were the valves. And I also had to replace 2 of the 4 fuel injectors because they were cracked at the tips. Plus the rubber O-Rings for all of them. Also noticed I been going through quite a bit of fuel. Much more than this 1.6 should be drinking.
So yeah any suggestions on what I should proably check out first?
Also Code: P0171 came up forgot about it. . .
Probable causes:
1. Large vacuum leak
2. Fuel system concern
3. Ignition system concern
4. MAF sensor faulty
5. HO2S/AF Ratio sensor faulty
Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced
