Default code 8 - TDC Position

I just recently completed a 93 d16z6 into a 96 dx along with a greddy turbo kit (all at once). It's throwing codes 8 and 14. I've got the code 14 under control but I cannot figure this code 8 out. I know it's for the TDC Position and I've followed all the wiring back to the ECU and made sure everything was pinned correctly. Is there anything else I need to check or that could be causing a problem? I've did an extensive search and couldn't find much more then 'get a new distributor'. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well if your wiring is good, then the sensor in the distributor is crapping out. Unless you have a spare sensor to swap it with, you'll be stuck getting another distributor.

If you have done the proper troubleshooting and the code is still present, then chances are the sensor inside the distributor is shot as mentioned. It is very common for the 92-95 Civic's to have bearing failure in the distributor which will lead to this problem.

I checked over everything on the dist. I didn't change anything but I did clean the contacts on the coil. Could that have been it? I think so possibly. Also, I had my plugs gapped way to close. I dont' know if that could have did it to.
