Civic Swap Please help!!
Hi, I am brand new to the honda scene. I am a nissan freak (or used to be). Anyways, I am planning on buying a 1992 civic dx and doing a swap on it. I am not sure if I should go with the b18c1 motor or the h22a. Which one is better? I am looking for the most speed and power. I know the h22a has more power, so why do people choose the b18c1 instead? Are both motors a direct bolt-on? Which motor has more performance upgrades? Maybe thinking of turbo, or supercharger.
Search there is a lot of info.
Some realy quick facts is the h22a is not as easy as the b18c1 swap...
The h22a guys love it, and the gsr people love theirs.

the more I search the more questions that I come up with. What are the problems with the h22? I know wiring is one of them. What about axels? motor mounts?
There's not really any problems with an h22 install. Its just alot more involved than a b-series swap.
The GSR swap is a complete bolt it, using integra mounts, axles, shift linkage, etc.
Only a little wiring is needed.
The h22a swap requires a custom mount kit, different axles(there are alot of combinations), you have to widen the hole for the shifter and cut another hole for the shift cables to travel through.
It also requires alot more wiring (such as wiring in the injector resistor box, extending wires, etc).
A b-series swap can be completed in a matter of hours, while a H-series swap takes alot more time.
The sweet thing about H-T is, any question you could think to ask, has most likely already been asked.
You just need to search to find it.
Good luck.

the h22 swap is more involved yes but when u finish you know a whole lot more about your than u thought. like u i didn't know that much about hondas either but when i got my **** i just started asking, like your self, if u do the h22 swap in the eg (1992) which is exactly what my brother has u will need to get the wireing done somewhere unless u want to tackle that cluster ****. 94 integra axels, accord half shaft, and the linckage that comes with swap. it is more difficult to do than the other swaps but, it is well worth it i think, if u need some one to do your wireing hassport will do it for around 300 dollars they just need your civic wireing harness and yourh22 harness it will take about a week or two. good luck let me know what u decide
