Default civic s2000 project

how, if possible, do you go about installing a 01 s2000 motor in a civic?

I read somewhere (think it was this board) the S2000 block bolts on to any K series tranny. The head gaskets are supposed to match up between the K series and the F20C as well. K24 block with S2000 head? maybe...

Converting a civic to be Rear drive... and then putting an S2000 engine in it... Just seems like a waste of time and money to me.

it will take too much of everything. you'd be better off just building up a b18 with all that money

because we all know how creative and innovative swapping a B18 is. lmfao.

The S2000 is a benchmark engine, it's Honda's best flowing cylinder head and has a rod ratio of like 1.8X or something... it's awesome.

The B18 can suck my jeffries tube.

yeah, you can put any other K series into an EG, because its FWD and setup for the mounts like that... but the s2000 engine is RWD, and doesnt have an upper drivers side mount, and you cant fab up that one, because youd either have to put a mount off the valve cover, or somehow re route the cam chain to put a mount in there somewhere .... so you'd have to make it a RWD, witch ISNT worth it.

I bet you could keep it front wheel drive by having a mount in the standard motor mount location on the engine "snake" around to the upper drivers mount location. Or like you mentioned, fab something from the valve cover or off the head...

I've seen a picture of the F20C mounted to an RSX tranny. It's probably worked in the past.

Something to think about:

All "B" series trannys bolt up to all "B" series motors
All "D" series trannys bolt up to all "D" series motors
All "H" series trannys bolt up to all "H" series motors

F20B> Fwd Accord engine.
Could a F20B tranny bolt up to a F20C engine?? Hmmmm..........
