A/C bracket?? Is it needed??
I had the A/C removed when the swap went in but now that i'm looking at some other swaps i see that the entire bracket has been removed including the rubber mount. Is the mount needed at the location i'm trying to show below:

does this affect stability or anything if removed??

Put it back in!!! I had a friend who took both front mounts off and replaced the rest with urethane and one day at the track during a launch, the top driver side mount broke off from the block. He had to re-thread the block and use bigger bolts.
the car was designed to run with the front dampener mounts, why would you not put them back in? I had a cable to hydro conversion in my del sol not too long ago and I lost the passenger side front dampener mount, just missing one caused alot of extra slop when engaging the clutch to start and switching gears, putting more overall stress on the other mounts and brackets. I wouldn't even want to imagine losing both of them. My problem may have been made worse with my stage II clutch.
This is what I'm saying, you dont NEED that mount. OBVIOUSLY, if you are running a stage 2 clutch or dragging where your motor is going to have a lot of tilt, of course you are going to want to leave it in. But I mean, if you arent driving the hell out of your car, the mount is just not needed.
I have never taken my car to the track and I was able to bust an ear off of the tranny where the rear engine mount bracket bolts up. I did this trying to pull out in busy traffic, not drag racing. I'm just trying to help the dude out where I messed up, besides who does an engine swap and doesn't drop the clutch from time to time. If you didn't have a lead foot to begin with you would have left the stock engine alone. My point is the honda engineers didn't put the mounts there just to make the engine compartment look a little prettier.

Before I did my swap, I was getting quite a bit of wheel hop. When I took the old engine mounts out, it was completely shot. Basically, it would have functioned the same if I had taken it out.
When I put the new engine in, I put in brand new mounts along w/ some polyurethane bushings.
With that setup, I don't get any wheel hop at all now. The bushings did make the vibration a bit higher though.
I would recommend that you use the lower mounts.
