Ok so a friend of mine is selling me a B16 motor for my 96 dx for $1800, complete motor, tranny, axles . . . but no ecu. now my question is what papers do i have to get for a proper swap??? i wanna keep it legal. thanks guys

 

you need to go to a state ref and get bar`d,do a search on getting bar`d and youll find everything you need to know

 

Make sure you get a bill of sale from him too

yeah ive been reading up on Bar'd, i just gotta make sure that engine is 96+.

 

Its more like a written proof of purchase. You dont need it, but its reccomended in case Mr. Officer would like to pop your hood
