burning oil
friend has a 92 hatch with a b18c and CTR pistons. compression is 235 across, but its eating a quart of oil a week, and blows puffs of whitish smoke when you hit it. any ideas?
Usually, when you blow white smoke antifreeze is burning somewhere in the motor. If its blue then you blew something, and grey sometimes mean its running too rich.
id check fuel pressure , check compression one more time,
check the plugs, valve seals,
and definitely check the PCV valve....(it has to rattle)
is the motor freshly built? are u using synthetic oil?
maybe switching to conventional will help....

where should the oil be at? Should it be at the buttom dot ? people told me if its a little above the buttom dot its normal. I notice when i straight pipe my car alot of white smoke comes out.
