b20vtec starting issues...help guys
ok guys, i have an 89 hatch that used to have a stock b16 in it with a mugen chipped ecu, i had the motor for about 5 months and only put about 3000 miles on it. it ran great never had any probs. so 2 weeks ago i went for the b20vtec conversions. everything went great and i was up and running but i only have one problem.. when i go to start the car from sittin over night or for a certain period of time, (over an hour or two) the car fires right up then instantly dies. when i go to start her the 2nd time it fires right up and everything is fine. drives fine, no leaks or anything. and this problem has been clock work for 2 weeks and i cant figure it out. first start dies, second start perfect.. i have a new water pump, timing belt, plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, and a new fuel filter. i thought it might have helped, but no dice. the one thing i havent changed yet is the pump wich i have a 255 walbro comin. i was highly recommended this pump with the new motor compared to my original stock one. do you think this could be the problem? any experiences like this or suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated. if you need any more info from me to help out, let me know. thanks guys.

sounds to me you have a problem with fuel pressure. Get a gauge and check the pressure drop. You must be bleading fuel with the car not on. One way to check this its to turn the key to the start postion for 10 sec. then start the car If it starts and keeps running then thats your problem. IM me back if that fixes it thanks
