b20vtec questions
I will be doing a vtec conversion on my b20 right after vacation. Im missing an ecu what ecu can I use and also if not I might be getting one from phearable. In this case what rpm does the vtec engage and also for the 2 step at what rpm do you guys usually set it to thanks in advance.

Re: b20vtec questions
You should probably go with a p28. It's compatible with just about every Honda and most people choose it over others. I can't really say when Vtec engages through someone else's ecu, cause it can be set to whatever you (phearable in this case) want. I would probably keep it around 5K or so, to keep it safe. As far as 2 step...it has a lot to do with what kind of tires you're running, and how good your traction is. When I ran my nexens at the track with a NA GSR, i was good at 3700. Now I have a turbo LS-Vtec, with Drag radials..and 3700 is too low. A lot of that has to do with lag of the big turbo, but you don't want to bog out, and having great tires with a low rpm 2 step will do that.

Re: b20vtec questions
yeah I am going to get a p28 with a b20vtec basemap. I ran that before in the SOHC so I have the ecu harness and all. For tires I have to try out the new tires I have see if its any good or not its a semi slick made by Kumho so ill try that out launch the car with what I have now and see. my guess im going to be keeping at 4k ro something but Ill check first if the tires are any good, because for the street tires im rujnning now it just spins out all the way to 3rd gear. 2nd gear no traction still. vtec engagement im mite keep it at 5000 or just let phearable decide for it.
