B20v issue...
Hey fellow Honda heads. I have a slight dilemma on my hands that I hope y'all can help with... This my build:
B20z2 block 85mm bore decked .005
Stock crank
LS Skunk 2 alpha rods
ARP rod bolts
Nippon 85mm p30 pistons 13:1
Golden eagle block guard
Stock gsr head
Itr cams
Skunk 2 intake manifold
70mm Skunk 2 throttle body
AEM fuel rail
AEM fuel pressure regulator
DSM 450cc injectors
Just throwing that out there for anyone curious about it. Anyways, I used the b series compression calculator to see what I'd get... It was all red lol. Which brings me to my question. If the piston to deck height is .008, this means the pistons are sticking out the block yes? If so, how thick should I go on the head gasket? I was considering .051" because the regular one was like .026... So I added .005 for the deck and then .008 for pistons poking out. That brought me to .039 and I thought OK add a little more just in case and chose .051...
But how much space do I wanna put between the head and the block for good bang but not boom you know? In your opinion, is .011 enough? Any thoughts are humbly appreciated. And thank you for your time in advance.

Re: B20v issue...
@ AntDaKrilled unrelated question for you: I have an engine the same motor that I pulled out (incomplete build) of a 1990 EF wagon. The transmission label is missing. Any idea what transmission it could be?

Re: B20v issue...
if piston to deck height is in the negative the pistons would be proud (sticking out over the block) your "red" is probably from compression. what was the compression ratio? keep in mind p30 pistons aren't 13:1 youll have to find the actual dome height and what not to get accurate compression ratio
