Ive had the same question and gotten a variety of answers, as far as converting my motor to b20vtec. there is ALOT more to it than just slapping a VTEC head on the bottom end and calling it a day. from what I've read and been told, you can safely run a stock bottom end with no problems, as long as you arent taking it past 8k rpm. but speaking from experience, youre in for a surprise as to how much youre gonna have to spend to do the conversion right, even when doing the bare minimum.

skerrttt is absolutely correct! doood is also, this b20/VTECH info is everywhere on this site and another site just called B20/VTECH. There is no cheap way (<$750. bucks) to do this swap. Plan ahead and read for like a week on every forum you can, than decide for yourself. If not blowing your motor up or having oil leaks in weird spots and you can't wire for $hit to the ECU correctly; don't do it.
But, if you learn here from others mistakes, and educate youself on the smallest detail of the swap; than you have knowledge to get it done right. Good luck, I'm 5 grand into mine right now, 2 grand to go.
