Default Re: B20 vtec swap

What chassis are you putting it into?

What will get it running? A P28, P72, or any of the other VTEC OBD1 ECUs. What will get it running correctly? An OBD1 ECU that has either been "chipped" or had Hondata/Neptune/etc. added and then dyno tuned to your specific car. If you are using Hondata, you can look through their vault for a calibration from a setup that is similar to yours and use it as a starting point.

What specific tips are you looking for on doing the swap? It's fairly straight forward and there are likely lots of articles / posts / videos out there to walk you through everything. Get the swap (engine, transmission, ECU, axles, shift linkage), use/modify the original engine wiring harness that came with the car (not the one that came with the engine), get the engine mounts you need to make the swap fit, bolt it in, wire it up, and fire it up.
