Default B18c1 is this worth it....

I found a B18c1 motor with below description for 2900 dollars. Is this a good deal?

94+ GSR (hydraulic clutch) 1797cc 178hp@7600rpm/129 lb-ft@6200rpm. Includes Intake and exhaust manifold, transmission, alternator, distributor, power steering pump, A/C compressor, ECU, and Inner shaft.

sounds okay..... have you tried searching the classifieds to see how much they go for? i've seen the jdm b18c go for around 3k. also something to consider is the condition of the motor? was it running before it was yanked out? try to get more details on the motor from the seller......

It should be 170 hp... not 178... if it's the B18C1. And in that case.. you could pick one up for around $2500. A little less or a little more... depending on the location and availability in the area. You could probably be patient and find a much better deal. Ultimately... it's your decision.

Well the dealer says it was in a running vechile before it was pulled out. So that is covered. So where should I look for a b18c1 motor? I am rebuilding it anyways so the condition aint that important unless the block was warped or something. Thanks

Thanks I believe I will look around a little longer if nothing cheaper I will order it. Cause it seems like a good deal to me but just seeing what people in here think.
