B18C1 - Cams
im really leaning towards ITR cams for my b18c1, what do you guys think?
will i have to upgrade my valvetrain? even if i keep my stock redline? also, will keeping the stock p72 ecu with the cams, limit gains? how should i go about this? and what are some setups that work for you guys?
thx in advance.

Careful with the CTR/ITR cams some are the same spec. Intake I believe, Check with WAFFLES, he knows.
As far as Valvetrain, again mentioned above as well, only when you plan on increasing your rev limit do you need to upgrade.
The best program to run is always Custom. Or use the stock ECU and get a VAFC so that you can program your self and still have to option to change.

Both the CTR and ITR use the same exhaust cam. The CTR's intake cam is slightly more aggressive than the ITR. For all motor, go with the CTR intake and ITR exhaust combo.

Valvesprings: get ITR intake (inner & outer) valvesprings only (mike ie typermsm @ IPS had them for about 80.00) & swap your GSR intake to the exhaust side (ITR exh springs are the same exact part as GSR intake springs) that way you can get the most power out of the ITR/CTR cams if you raise the redline

sorry for the book
, best luck

great info guys
i do not plan to raise the redline (8100) so im pretty much set as to what im doing....ITR 00-01 cams with no valvetrain work.
im still a tad back on the ECU question and what to run
can i get a vtec controller and raise the vtec say around 4.8k? what about the 2ndarys? just run a skunk intake manifold and then just run an ITR ecu?
what are some of the things you guys are doing?
thanks in advance hybrid brothers

can i run the GS-R mainfold/ITR Cams/V-AFC with sufficient gains?
The cam gears should be adjusted to how YOU want your car to perform (not just peak horsepower), but take a look at the torque curves per each setting and choose what u want.. And the vafc is there to raise your vtec to 5100-5200 (due to the drop you will notice on the dyno since ITRs engage vtec higher than our 4400)and somewhat "tune" (i use that term loosely with these piggybacks) your fuel curves.. Remember all of this is only recommended if u can get your *** to a dyno.. If not, just get the cams with the stock cam gears and forget the rest..
