You can use Pr3 (b16, b17, and ITR) and/or P72 (GSR).

They will all bolt up, but Pr3 and P72 heads have different intake manifold bolt patterns (aka, you can not put a GSR intake manifold on a PR3 head).

The castings are the same in all gens. The only thing is that first gen B16 heads (second gen B16 head have better cams, etc, but if you put higher lift cams in, put the right valvetrain in too) have lower lift cams, in turn, have shittier LMA, valve springs, etc. If you are going to put higher lift cams (ITR/CTR or aftermarket) in a B16 head, you should (aka you have to) put GSR/ITR LMA, valve spring, etc. I would replace the LMA in any B16 (any gen) for GSR/ITR, it is cheap insurance.

thanks a lot.....youd think i should know all this by now....imn just looking for a head for the block, but also the cost differences of each make it hard to decide on what to go with....

anyway, should i stick to the stock ecu and wire it up for the vtec, get a standalone unit, or use the p72?????

i really dont care what parts for the truck.,....the truck is in good shape (i have pics) and i can trade em for even a set of rims or any aftermarket stuff....here is a little list of what i need right now:

-seats
-b-series head
-ecu

any other jdm parts, amarket, etc.
