Default b18b in a civicEX

my friend and i were haveing a dissagrement...i say if i get the b18b in my civicEX and my bro put in an ITR in his 98 ls integra how much would i lose by??? i say no more then a cars lenght? my friend is saying i'd get raped like at least a bus length...... oh yeah another thing is it really that hard for an 98 LS integra run the 1/4 mile high 14s low 15s???

You will get beat pretty bad depending on what year your car is. On avg. the LS weighs about 140lbs more than your car, but he is putting an engine that has about 55 more hp. I would gestimate that you would run mid 15's maybe low 15's in the 1/4 and he would run mid 14's with a good driver. You would do better to race him on the street to about 60 where your gearing will keep you in the race, after that he will pull on you top end.

should be a good race!! would depend on driver skill

B16B is CTR motor
B18C5 ITR motor....only 10 more HP's than the b16b

It would come down to driver skill. I took out many type-r's with slight mods up to heavy mods. Like I said, driver skill.
My setup is ls with i/h/e and a gsr trans. Also in an EG Si, which is less than a 100 lbs lighter than your ex.

chad. he said he would have a b18b not a b16b. so there will be more of a power differance than you pointed out.
