B18A or B16A in a CRX
All you people that have a B16A or B18A motor in your EF please tell me how much of an increase it is over the stock SOHC motor.
Knowing the car is lighter how much faster does it rev then Integra LS or Civic SIs. What are the pros and cons for both motors.
Thanks.

well i love mine......it has a shitload of bottom end (no ****)..........and its pretty quick....not the fastest in the world...but it will still suck you back into your seat........
I got a b16a in my hatch, Its a big difference compared to my old engine. But if I could do it again I would of bought a b18c1. I'm kind of tired of my b16a or maybe its because i'm broke and can't afford anymore parts while I'm in college. With either engine your going to feel a big difference.
my b18a1 ran a 14.7 @ 91 with 2.3 60ft times with DC 4-1 AEM CAI and apex'i cat back on my 17's with 35psi ..I took my b16a out for this motor ..it ran like *****
i had a stock motor, then ZC andi loved it, then went b16 and it was cool but i had a LS tranny so that sucked! and then i went 97 B18B and i liked it! it pulled hard....then i turbo'd it and its great! talk about torque!!!
but b16's with a good tranny and rechipped ecu will pull hard.

Either a B16A or B18A is going to be alot better than the stock SOHC motor. I personally have had both motors. And my preference is the B16A. It runs alot faster in the quarter mile. And the B18B did not really have that much torque. Nowhere near the kind of torque it is hyped to have. Now the B18B is gone and in its place is a B20. And that motor is MUCH better than the B18B.
