Default b18 A (automatic)+ 2000 dx = ?

anybody got a list of problems I might encounter? We are starting it tonight and will have the motor out of the integra tommorow. We would like to use the obdII computer but whatever is easiest. It is going into my girls car. We got some pr3 pistons and we may get some cams. For now we just want to get it in and running with power steering! please if anyone has guidance on the automatic stuff let me know. Sticks are easy but I am nervous about the automatic

i can tell you now that it's gonna be a pain in the mother f_cking _ss. i can do this swap and i am in savannah. my '93 dx hatch once was automatic b18b. in short, you need a tranny from a '94-up integra and the tranny mounts. you also need to get the ecu and tranny control module (tcm). you'd be running about 30 wires from tranny to tcm to ecu to shifter to cluster. this is probably the most intimidating part. the motor and tranny probably won't fit in without a little modification. should be more direct fit with the tranny mounts more than a EG automatic chassis. if you really want this done and want to pay someone to do it then i am not too far and do this stuff all the time. i also build motors as well. if you want a five speed conversion i can also do that. im me for more contact info if you want.

the engine should fit fine, the worry is the tranny, Will the dx cpu operate the ls tranny? If not why not also if I have to run a few wires that is fine...

no you need a 94 up ls ecu and tcm. won't work any other way. you could use a jdm auto b16 or jdm integra auto then use a dx ecu. so are you in albany or valdosta?

the usdm 94 up, and i believe the 90-93, use extra sensors on the tranny that are controlled by the tranny control module. i tried using a 95 auto tranny and the dx ecu...the tranny will stay in one gear and won't shift.

no no no man you can't shift it manually. go ahead and try. if it were that easy, i wouldn't have told you that you need a tcm. there's no way around the tcm like i said unless you get a jdm auto tranny. i know what i'm talking about.

damn!!!

so just to get this straight, I need a tcm from a 94 and up tranny, I guess the book will tell me anything I need to know about where to pull it from. I may want some information on wiring if i get in trouble. Well I will holler....
If anybody else has some advice let me know

Dan

Thanks

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by madhatch &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">we have the 00 auto ecu and the tranny needs an tcm too can we use the 00 tcm If not i know ehere I can get the 96 one,</TD></TR></TABLE>

that should work. i'd say as long as the same sensors are on both trannies...check the 94-95 and the 96-up for differences. i think the 96-up had changes as in more sensors but not positive.
