b16swap, CEL, help
Hi guys, i'm new hear but here you are the best. I just did a b16 swap today and everything is pretty good except my CEL is on. Its throwing a code 3, which is the map sensor, but the connector looks fine and the vacuum lines look fine and this was never a problem before the swap, and i'm damn sure my mechanic didn't even have to touch the map sensor while swapping although he did take out the a/c and the vacuum lines for it on that cylinder shaped thing on my 91 GS, can anybody help me out?
the vacuum cylinder for the a/c had to holes but i plugged both with a hose, and it still didn't work, i would like to try to get away from using another sensor for now, i mean why would it go bad just when i did the swap, makes no sense. Could tiny little cracks in a hose really make that type of a difference?? can anybody else help me!?
can anybody help me!!?? it can't be my map sensor why would it go bad just cuz i did a swap?? everyone thinks its a vacuum line but i can't find out why they are all hooked up.
Make sure the TPS and MAP sensor plugs aren't switched, it's easy to do since they are close and the same style plug. If that checks out then go over the vacuum lines, then troubleshoot the wiring for the MAP. If that's all good then you''ll need to replace the MAP, you can use one from nearly any year Honda/Acura.
