Default b16a into civic

ok, just talked to the guy swapping the engine into my car. i have a 93 dx civic coupe. the engine im wanting to put in is a 2nd generation jspec b16a. the mechanic told me that there is nothing compatible from my old engine to my new one, and that i would have to buy new everything to get this swap to work and that it would be really expensive. is there something im missing here, i heard this was a fairly simple swap? i need help as soon as possible, thanks.

b16a swap is very simple.

you will need the P30 ECU (computer), the stock B16A axles as well as the tranny that comes with the b16a.

you will need to add vtec wires and knock sensor then you're set

Hundreds of members here have done it in their own garage, many for their first time. You do not need to swap injectors, the B16A motor will come with 'em. Give the engine a tune-up before you swap. You'll also need a shift linkage, integra linkage will work.

b16a into any civic from 88 and up is one of the most easiest swaps in the car world. reason why hybrids are so popular. your mechanic is really an idiot. ahaha. is your car auto or manuel? cuz if u have auto then u gonna need new axles, spindles, pedal tree, etc
