B16A or B16A2....
whats the difference between cable transmission an hydrolic transmission. and will i be happy with on of these or sshould i just get a GSR like i was planning on doing? but money is tighter than i expected so im thinking B16a or B16A2.
Matters what car you have:
88-91 Civic & 90-93 Integras use cable trans.
92+ Civics & 94+ Integras use hydro trans.
Both cable and hydro b-series trans will bolt up to any b-series engines. Difference between the two is the clutch is operated by a cable on one and other uses a hyrdraulic setup.
If you have a 92+ civic I'd suggest a b18c1 over the b16a2, I believe its only $800 difference.
IF its a 2nd gen teg or 88-91 civic/crx I'd go with a b16a1. I was very happy with my b16 crx.

I got a JDM B16a Gen2 and going to swap it in sometimes soon. I wish i could have bought the GSR because after driving my friend's GSR, i'm amazed at it's torque.
Choose wisely.
