posted in Tech forum as well.... Wondering what a stock B16a (jdm first series) should put out when doing a compression test?

Thanks for your time,

1g B16a Compression #'s
Standard (new) is 185 psi
Low limit is 135 psi
Difference between cyls should not be above 28 psi

*NOTE* Use a fully charged battery when doing a compression test.

Thanks very much for that. I'm used to the 4G63 engines... still learning on the hondas. This is a great forum for that.

Carbon build-up will cause high compression numbers.

No the engine should be warm (radiator fan come on) when doing a compression test. Also remove the 2-p connector (ignition coil primary lead) form distributor.
