b16 in 98
i would like to put a b16 in my 98 civic. how hard is the swap to pull off?i have a full garage and room to store if things dont go right.what if any are the common problems to this install.any advice is greatly appriciated
Not that hard to transplant. Make sure you have a complete swap (motor mounts, linkages, harness, ecu....etc.) I'm doing the same thing right now. I don't have
the money for a full swap, so I'm piecing it together. In my case, it's cheaper,
but more headaches. If you have any questions, I'll try to help.

4 wire and plugging in. You can handle it just make sure to get a 99-00 si motor or you will have to rewire more than that. the 99-00 si use a crank angle sensor on the oil pump unlike other older b16a's and the dist is wired for that and the engine harness on the ek is made for that also.
Don't your stock motor mounts fit on a B16A, this is what I was told...
You also might want to consider engine wire harness upgrade, then you can plug in play a OBD11 or GSR ECU... I guess you wouldn't want an OBD11 anyway.
