Default b16 2nd gen crx code 9

Started the crx tonight for the first time since the install came up with a code 9, cly sensor?? Checked the distributor per service manual with a volt meter, all good. The engine started up and sputtered and missed a little then threw the code. The plug cly. had water in them when we got the engine so I cleaned out the water about 3 weeks ago, well as much as I could. It still had a little moisture by the plugs so I removed the plugs and cleaned them and am letting it sit and air out over night. Would this cause the code 9 and the missing??

Were waiting till thursday for the int. shaft from a teg so we can put on the drivers side axle so we hope the engine will be running smooth for the test drive! Thanks in advance!
