B-Series Cable to Hydro conversion question

I have a question about the cable-to-hydro conversion kit offered from Hasport for B-Series swaps. I will be doing an OBD1 B18C1 swap into my OBD1 DA. Which of course, comes with a hydraulic clutch setup.
The part in question is kit# EFBHCL, the lever assembly, etc.
Now, in all the research I had done on this, I had never heard of anyone having to do this, but I was reading an article online last night, this one to be exact:
http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/ho...rtion-da9.html
and it mentioned something about having to re-drill/tap one of the bolt holes as it uses a 19mm bolt, vs the standard 17mm bolt. Is this true? I've read dozens of other articles, and seen several threads where people are using this kit, and NONE of the threads/articles mentioned having to drill.
Is this information accurate?
Thanks for any, and all help, everyone.

i know i can run a cable transmission with it, but i don't want to buy another transmission. the swap i'm buying comes complete with the transmission. my clutch is cable operated, vs the GS-R's hydraulic operated. A conversion kit must be used. I like the gearing of the stock GS-R trans, so I'm going to use it.
Input needed asap, guys.

do you have your old swap?? it would be alot easier put all the hydro tranny internals into your cable tranny... i heard that the conversion youve seen above keep breaking the cables and that they reccommend haveing couple cables back up in your car. imo it be easier put the gsr hydro interals into your cable tranny

will the GS-R internals work in the LS case? I'd really like to avoid swapping gear sets, etc. as this will be a very tight time sensitive project. kind of need it done inside of a short time.
No, i think the fds are different sizes. I have the hasport kit on my h22 civic, but the innovative one looks better. Thats what i would get if i were you.

any word on having to drill anything, though? is it necessary? if so, then I'm gonna put the hydraulic transmission up for sale/trade for a cable b16 setup
I didn't have to drill anything, but i have an h-series. you could call hasport and ask, or just pick up the innovative kit, its looks better engineered.

Name sounds really familiar. It has been an annual thing for about 4 years now. It's held in May at G-Force Karts in Richmond. Last year saw a turnout of well over 1,000 cars. It was sick. Haven't heard word on when it's gonna be, this year, but I trust we'll be hearing soon.
You know anyone getting rid of a B16 cable trans that is willing to trade for a hydro GS-R? I'm thinking I'm just gonna go the cable route, instead of all this converting crap.

Nic is one of my best buds, hes from FroRo orginally. The meet sounds pretty cool, i might have to check it out. The conversion kit isn't that bad really. It will probably be way easier than finding a short ratio cable tranny, especially in the boonies where we are. If you want to check out my conversion kit some time, or need any help with your swap let me know. I've been an auto tech student for a while now, and i don't really have any friends who are into cars.
if your da is 92-93 yes everything will bolt up perfectly. only 90-91 wont work. everything is identical inside

I read an article on here on how to swap the internals into a 92-93 YS1 case. doesn't seem too bad, but a bit more involved than I'm going to have time for. There is a location that needs some grinding done in order for a few things to fit right.

what clutch would I need to use? the motor is a 95 GS-R, and the trans is from a 93 DB2 GS-R. would I be able to use the DC2 clutch?
No, use the cable clutch.
If you're going to a hydro trans look into the Suja 1 full hydro conversion. It's worlds better than a cable-with-a-lever conversion.

As mentioned, though. I no longer need to worry about it. Found a guy willing to trade my hydro trans for a cable GS-R trans. So all I'll have to do is bolt it up, pull out the old, take care of the wiring and have a nice day.

Thank you, very much, for your input, though. Hopefully, it will help someone else down the road who might read this thread in search of information.
