Default automatic to manual

alrite i found this real nice eg hatch for real cheap but its an automatic, my question is if i take it to a shop to get a engine swap will it be the same as if my car was manual? or would they charge me more? thanks

they will definitely charge you more, cuz some work and parts will be necessary to make it into manual. search "auto to manual" in the civic forum and you'll find most of your answers. some of the things you'll need to buy are ...clutch lines, pedal assembly, master/slave cylinder, shift linkage, center console, manul cluster unless your eg is an ex/si (then the cluster already has rpms), i believe you need a starter also, but not positive...and then some misc parts...

shop around, you might be able to find a shop that wont charge an arm and a leg for the job..or like most HT people here suggests...do it yourself!!!
