Default Auto Tensioner

I have a question on re installing the Auto Tensioner...what do you use to keep it depressed while you install it? I know of the tool but i dont have one, is there a place you can get one or an alternative method that i dont know about? Also what is the advantage of putting in the Manual Tensioner instead?

You can use either tie wraps or tape. Cut either one off when done.
