Auto to manual NO start!!!
Well title says it all
I was wondering could any of you please help me as i have done conversion on mine jdm 99 1.5 EK3 with D15B 3-stage VTEC engine and now after the conversion car wont start. The lights on the dash come up as normal. All the connections/grounds seems to be right and all fluids level. we are using the same auto ecu. Using a Manual starter.
As I read some comments from another treads(where I can use auto ecu):
"It's got absolutely nothing to do with the ECU. The starting circuit is very simplistic and has literally nothing to do with the ECU at all. You can absolutely run an automatic ECU on a manual."
"Again the ECU doesn't play into it at all. In very simplistic explanation the switch is in between the ignition switch and the starter wire. It never get's anywhere near the ECU. Fuel pump isn't affected at all. And yes the clutch start switch is the same circuit."
Now my mate who done the conversion thinks its the gearbox as that could have been seized/freeze but I haven't came a single thread of conversion on various other Honda Forums where it mention that it could be due to Gearbox.
Any ideas what could be the reason or point where we should look?
As if its gearbox then we will have to replace gearbox and have to open everything back again.
But I dont think its the gearbox for some reason.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
