Auto to manual crx....
Has anyone here done an auto to manual on a 4g civ/2g crx?
Car is 89 crx dx. Motor is lsvtec which will be coming out of my 91 hatch. From what I can tell by looking at the car it doesn't seem hard at all:
I need:
brake and clutch pedal cluster
clutch cable
shift linkage and shifter
wire the park/neutral position sensor so I can start the car.
along with all the stuff being pulled out of my hatch.
My questions are;
Does everything just bolt up?
Would it be better to buy a 90 integra clutch cable rather than an si crx one since I need a new one anyway?
How do I wire the backup-light to work?
Am I missing anything?
Thanks

I too, am seriously considering a similar move, with a 95 civic EX coupe, but I believe there is a major difference in that yours is cable, and mine is hydraulic.

Has anyone done an auto to manual cable conversion? If so I'd like you to tell me if I'm on the right track.

I did one in my 91 rex- you're on the right track- the reverse lights are activated by a switch on the trans- I ran wires to mine to the gear position switch. The worst part for me was doing the pedals- also- I used a plastic license plate and seam sealer to seal the hole where the shifter used to be- You will have to come up with a way to get the inside shifter boot to seal to the floor- I don't remember what I did there. It wasn't a bad job- but I wasn't using a B16 trans.
