Default alxe binding

im having a problem with my passenger side axle binding when i go in reverse. it only happens in reverse. the guy at the local shop said its because my car is to low but i had this car for 5 years and its always been this low so that cant be it. the only thing i have done is replaced the power steering rack with one for from a 2001 GSR. is that rack longer so now i need different axles or something. that's about all i can thing it can be, that's the only thing i have changed lately.
any insight would be cool
thanks

I'm having this problem too, except mine deals with EG and H22. Except, I've had this axle for a long *** time and never binding, but for some reason it's making a clicking noise when I turn right only. I thought it was the ball joints or a blown strut or something, but have since replaced it, and found out for sure it's the axle.

Now I have a new one on the way. So could just be a bad CV joint.
