Default AEM EMS question??

I have a 96 gsr in my 92 civic. i am useing a p28 ecu to run it right now. i want to buy a used aem ems and i think i need the 30-1040 so it will plug into my harnes thats in my car. will it work okay? i have the P72 harness but it is not complete. and i dont really know what is missing. i bought the car like this.

Basicly i need to know what i have to do to get aem ems to work with my set up? change harness, buy the unit for my harness or my motor. i really dont want to have to change the harness if i dont have to. seeing i dont know what has been cut off of it.

little help?

if ur running a p28 ecu, then ur harness is obd1. u want to get the ems that is obd1. im not sure on the exact part #, but u should be good getting the one for the 92-95 civic.

the aem ems is designed to be a plug and play system. no wiring modifications necessary. but if u want to find out more. u should go to the aem website, join their forum,(its free) and talk to the guys there. they can help u alot.

good luck.

get the ems that plugs into your car. it dosnt really matter what engine you have in there.

Was there anything wrong with those units, specifically the 30-1000 ?

Thanks,

no, they redid the pinouts slightly and the new ones use the smaller enclosure, no biggie
