6g swap question
I installed a B16A2 from a 2001 Civic SIR into a 97 Civic cx for my son in law. The installation went well and the engine runs great but the tach, speedo, and possibly the fuel guage don't work in the SIR guage cluster.
I installed the SIR engine harness and ECU in place of the CX one. The SIR harness had 2 plugs and the green one that connects on the face of the ECU, where the CX had 3 plugins and the green one.
The green connection on the SIR had less wires and they did not match the wire colour positions on the CX interior harness.
It seems the missing plugin on the SIR is part of the inside harness on the SIR - where it is part of the engine harness in the CX.
Anyone have any suggestions to get the guages working. I don't have a Helm manual and the Haynes one I've got isn't very good - the wire colours don't match.
Thanks for any help. If I get this solved I can give him his car and get back to building my Lotus Super 7 clone.
