Default 5 wire to 4 wire o2 conversion...

ok, i got the the re-pinning down, and i was also told i couldnt use the stock vx o2 sensor itself. so i went to autozone today and bought a four wire o2 made for a teg, but its a universal peice. so my question is, on my connector that goes directly to the o2 what color wires do i peice on to the universal four wire harness? the colors on the stock harness are....

red
white
black
orange
yellow

any help is appreciated. thanks.

VX WHT - 4 Wire WHT
VX YEL - 4 Wire GRN
VX ORG - 4 Wire BLK
The other BLK needs a 12V+ ECU switched source. It can be tapped into nearly any YEL/BLK wire under the hood. Due to it's location it's easiest to tap into any YEL/BLK wires of the injectors or the IACV.

I've always used OEM 4 Wire O2 sensors so I'm used to their color coding. This would be the wiring to the color coding for your universal O2:

VX WHT - 4 Wire BLK
VX YEL - 4 Wire GRY
VX ORG - 4 Wire WHT
The other WHT needs a 12V+ ECU switched source. It can be tapped into nearly any YEL/BLK wire under the hood. Due to it's location it's easiest to tap into any YEL/BLK wires of the injectors or the IACV.

you cannot buy an aftermarket 5 wire 02 sensor it is not available!!! Also the aftermarket o2's suck! you should never try and use a but connector on those wires you will run into problems...and there is no way to convert a 5 wire to a 4 wire...you pretty much have to take out a loan! and buy one from the dealer $500 plus...i do have a 5 wire available used the price is $150...w/ a 6 month warranty
