Default 02 sensor problems

ok. i have a 92 hatch and i dropped a d16z6 in it. it was originally a 1.5 non v tec and now it is a 1.6 v tec. i purchased a p28 ecu for the engine, and when i put it in the check engine light comes on. i was told ( from hasport) that this is b/c the 02 sensor needs to be rerun. if someone could hlep me out and tell me where these wires hook in at that would be great. pix would be even beter.

BLK - B1 or A25 (12V+ Power)
WHT - D12 (Sensor Input)
BLK - A6 (Heater Control)
GRN - D22 (Sensor Ground)

The green wire needs to be spliced into the green/white wire that comes out of d22 on the ecu dont cut the grn/wht wire, the rest you have to cut.

In my 93 CX hatch all 4 wires for the o2 sensor were alredy in the wiering harness except the o2 sensor in the cx motor is a single wire non heated sensor. I was swaping a JDM GSR motor and it uses a 4 wire o2 sensor. Assuming you have a 4 wire sensor too each of the 4 wires goes in to the slots posted above, except the green/white wire must be spliced in to the TPS sensor wire whitch is in slot d22 at least for my GSR, i think your motor should be thesame if it is obd1.

vtec villain,

Are you sure that the sensor input is pin d12?? the reason i am asking is because i am going to run my air/fuel gauge over to the ecu, instead of to the damn o2,(suppose to be more accurate)

i also checked on hybrid honda(or something like that)
and all they list is the pin specifacations for the P30. which they say the sensor in put is pin D14..

let me know,
Brian

Yes I'm sure D12 is the O2 Sensor Input, this is straight from the Helm's manual.

yeah that is what i thought.... i looked on my cars plugs and then at the computer, and there is no wire at D12 but i do have a wire at D14, so i am just going to tap D14..
