which of these setup will work better? the spoon airduct intake or the J`s radiator cover plate... i like how the J`s setup looks but i think it will allow hot air to enter the airbox
No the spoon duct and j's cooling plate cannot be used together. Look with your eyes...the Spoon duct goes through the plate you really think it could work? Common sense ftw. they do have cooling plates that are compatible with the Spoon duct.

and you think no hot air will get in otherwise?
The Spoon duct allows for air to be pulled in from the opening in the bumper which is at a cooler temp than the engine bay temp.
The cooling plate helps direct air from the front bumper opening into the stock air box as well. The difference is it is not as concentrated on the intake as the Spoon duct is.
You go ahead and do whatever you want. Personally, I would not spend the small fortune that Spoon wants for their setup. I spents about $85.00 on a CF cooling plate and kept the stock air box with a K&N filter (until i supercharged it, that is).
