plus tax, tag, title, for the car itself I paid $19,100.

you're right, dealerships are hurting and you can deal now like never before. my car looks cleaner than my buddy's garage kept '04 S2000 and the mileage was better than anything else on ebay and autotrader at the time by 15,000 miles so the extra money was worth it to me. also the dealership was a 200 mile round trip from my house, if it was closer I would have walked away at least once to haggle the price down some more. I didn't think it was worth it since I needed a ride there to pick the car up, two car's worth of mileage and gas, two people's time. my buddy was cool enough to get me up there, I didn't want to waste his time on another round trip.

I always see this and I think that yes a good deal can be had but it depends on a lot of things. I guess one could say that I am just telling myself to make me feel better about the car I purchased. I wanted a car that had receipts for all things done to the car and also a car that was not beat up. The last thing was I wanted something owned by an adult. I paid 12,600 for an 00 with 62k on it with all receipts since new. It was an older guy in his late 40's early 50's. I think I could really get 12000 for it still since I only put 3k on it and it also has an oem front lip and oem side stakes.

i sold my 2001 s2000 in 9/08 and i had been watching ebay all last summer.they where still selling for decent money.well the economy got much worse and the prices really started falling.i should have got around 12,500 but by the time i got it sold all i could get was 10,000 so that really bummed me out.oh well i sold it to pay for some of my 2006 lotus elise so im good.at least the lotus is holding its value.
