the test pipe didnt really make a sound difference on mine. i would go with a cold air intake...it sounds nasty especially in vtec

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the test pipe replaces the cat which is illegal to remove in the first place. Putting the test pipe on would make the exhaust tone louder which could get you pulled over & if the cops sees you are catless, that is a huge fine.

idn where your from but around where i'm from cops don't jack up cars to check for test pipes. oh well modded cars are illegal to an extent anyways.
some shops won't even install a test pipe for you. i put mine's on myself

If your going for a deeper sound to the car, take off the top of your stock airbox, trust me it will put a smile on your face. Its the first thing i did b4 i even pulled off the honda lot with my s2k, and its FREE!!! Take off the top, go make a pull and come tell me what you think...

this is why I love my state. WV cops are retarded and they dont know what you have on the vehicle. Plus there was a good point made that cops do not know if you have a cat or not. As long you are not necessarily loud with it in town i.e. driving at 9k in the middle of traffic you should be fine. again is your money. I would save and get a worthwhile header exhaust or intake. I said worthwhile so I would not waste it on a tip or something. this is just IMO. I probably would not make my first mod a test pipe.

Leave the Cat alone. Remove the mid-resonator from stock catback. About $40 at a muffler shop. Makes the beautiful stock exhaust note just a bit louder. Make sure you get underneath the car when they're done, check the welds and make sure there's no leaks!

removing the stock airbox actually decreases hp. a test was done on s2ki w/ a stock air box vs. stock gutted airbox vs. stock airbox w/ top removed and the stock airbox setup is best and causes less heatsoak. but if you really don't care about numbers and want sound go for it.

All the test pipe will do to the stock exhaust is make it sound a bit more raspier. Some people like it some dont. Berk test pipe is the way to go too, since it has the built in cel fixer.

I am being realistic, the previous owner is the finance manager at my honda dealership, im not joking it was off before i left the lot. It sounded better thats why i left it off, and 2 hp... i could care less it was fast enough.

Put on a test pipe. Its one of best mods to gain hp.
And take that intake off. Put oem box in with a snorkel.
