Default Tail of the Dragon

A few of my clips from runs on Hwy 129 in NC and Tenn. 318 turns in 11 miles.
The most fun you can have in your S.

I went to deals gap in about 2001 with ~100 S2000's..... we had 2 way radios, so you could pass through turns, etc..... that is definately a fun road.

track is actually more fun...and safer....

Its funny you posted this, I was up in the Smokies over the summer with the gf for a camping trip, and could not believe the quality of the roads and how much fun they are.

They are so great, that over thanksgiving weekend, for my birthday I am going on a driving holiday for a couple of days. Staying in a few bed and breakfasts with the gf and just enjoying the roads. By the way, I do live in Tampa FL!

If you have never driven these roads, I thoroughly recommend it.

Also a good drive is the road to Mile High Campsite

edit-here is a pic from the summer, we parked here and hiked down the hill

To get to this

I don't think they were trying to show off, im pretty sure they were just driving for the fun of driving.

Although in the second video, the red s2k right infront of you, was riding on its brakes like nobodies business .....

Ive heard about tail of the dragon, but never seen it. Looks like fun. Nice quality video's too. Were you leaving it in 3rd most of the time? Because you weren't shifting very often and taking it from 40-80 in the same gear, im taking it 3rd...

I stayed in 3d most of the way. Some downshifting to 2n on the tight cuts.
as for the run, I can only go as fast as the cars ahead of me. I think we had some newbies up front.

The hat is from VIR. I used to run there when I had my RX7. Roll hoops o the S don't qualify there. Have to have a roll bar.

The Dragon is similar to the tighter section in the middle of Ortega, or at the very top of Angeles Crest.
