Default STEREO

i installed some mods on my car and i unhooked my negitive battery and hooked it back on. and then my stereo doesnt work till i type in the radio code. and the honda dealer said they need to take my stereo out to get the serial number. and there asking $100 to do that. is there any other way i can get the radio code. are all the s2000 radio codes the same? and how do i take out my sterio. thanks

The code may be on a sticker on your head unit. Its very easy to remove.

Open the radio door and pull gently but firmly until you remove the door and the frame around it (ie the part with the vents, etc that holds the radio door in). There are four screws behind it that hold the headunit it.

DON'T pay the stealer $100 to do that for you!

if you just bought a 04' you should have the radio code card in your owner's manual booklet.

If you have an 04 and they did not give you the radio code then you should not have to pay them to find the code.

seriously, if you just bought the car and they forgot to give you a code, you shoulnt pay 100$.

$100 to pull the radio out and find the code? That's preposterous. If I'm not mistaken, they should be able to run your VIN number and just look it up...

something does not sound right...you bought a brand new 04' s2k and you didnt get the radio code card with the car when purchased? please tell me the dealer you bought yours at so i never go there...but then again this has to be bs...how would you not get the code?

Open up the little compartment in the middle, there will be 5 numbers on a white sticker that is your code
