stagger question ap2
oem specs on the rim/tires on ap2 is 17x7.0 front and 17x8.5 rear. most aftermarket rims start at 17x7.5. I was wondering if that 1.5" stagger for the ap2 is important to keep. mugen rims are set at 1" stagger so i figure it should be ok. everyone does different things but i think it really comes down to us experimenting vs. the engineers who designed the car.
I was planning on getting new rims but will end up having to miss match to get after market rims to fit the 17x7.0 and 17x8.5 - 1.5" stagger. offset is a little lower than the factory +55 and +65 but i know it should be ok as long as i stay near minimum. I dont mind mismatching i just want to know if it is completely neccessary...
any opinions?
