Default SNAP RING

I just got my NSX and I needed know a few things about it... I know this question might be weird but what is SNAP RING? Also what does it do? All I know that its the worse condition that the NSX can be in. So can someone help me with that. Thanks...

Basically, I don't think you really need to worry about it. If yours is yellow, it isn't a '91 which is the year the snap ring problem comes into play. Unless your yellow NSX is aftermarket paint.

Just to clarify - The snap ring problem affects the '92 as well as the '91. Yellow didn't come along as factory paint until '97.
