Default shift **** fitment

i'm planning to get a mugen shift **** and it says 5 speed MT only. does it matter if you put a 5 speed MT on a 6 speed shifter? Also, is the legend engraved in the **** or is it just a stick-on. On top of that, how do your take your shift **** off and install a new one in?

Here is the shift **** i'm planning on getting:

they have different mugen *****.. u just need to look harder, im pretty sure that mugen **** would make your shifts slower than stock. look for these *****

ARC
J's Racing
Spoon
CR / civic type R (same as CR with red lettering)

and im forgetting one that had no logo on it, countersunk and ballshaped but generic and cheaper (was 50-60 IIRC)

that mugen **** doesnt really fit the s2k, since the shifter is so short to begin with and flares out at the bottom. i tried to get mine to fit, but it wouldnt go all the way down (the recessed part was hitting)

The guy has a legit, somewhat technical question. It absolutely will not be locked because of the first post. No if it gets out of hand that's another story.

It was out of hand when he asked if a **** that said 5spd on it would work on a 6spd...........

To answer his question.... Yes it will work but there's a chance your transmission will have identity issues and mysteriously become a 5spd overnight.

As posted earlier, yes it doesn't screw all the way down on the S, but it's fine. I've tried about 6 different *****, the Mugen ***** and Voodoo countersunk are my favorite.

jeez i think were stretching for the word "technical" here...

Your search for **** returned 5 results.

i think what everyone is trying to say is that the amount of quality threads are diminishing by the day and are being replaced with such questions as this one... seriously if anyone had half a brain, they would know that some lettering on a shift **** has nothing to do with the amount of gears you have in ur car... i can write a diagram for 20 gears on my **** (no homo) and it wont change a damn thing... i asked my gf the OPs question, who has no idea what shes doing with cars and she literally laughed in my face and said someone actually asked that...

u have to see it from our side... we're getting a lot of extremely simple questions lately... now that youve seen the responses from said questions, now next time you should search first or reevaluate your question...
