Scam Alert !
This guy on autotrader is trying to sell an 03 s2000 for $14500. The story- He is supposedly in England because of a job transfer. He wants you to send him a deposit of $2000 to come down from England and sell the car. 2 weeks ago i was talking online to this guy. I asked, "why not just have a friend sell car for you?", he dissapead. No emails, no responses. Then the ad was removed. Another thing that tipped me off was the Carfax report. Car registered in Michigan. He doesn't remember what kind of plates ? CA or Michigan. Yesterday browsing Autotrader and see this ad http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...st=31

Yeah, listen to this... some guy was doing the same thing a few months back. It was also an 03, but he was in greece. He wanted like 9k for it so just to humor my self i got him down to 7k! and he accepted. It was the same thing.. send $2500 to a 3rd party and he would send you the car to test drive for a week, and if you liked it you could send him the rest of the money. Yeah right. I told him the next time he was in the us mainley ny to call me and ill gladley give him 7k plus by him a ticket home! Watch out! People can sometimes be scumbags.

Is this the first time you've seen this setup before? It happens more often on Ebay than AutoTrader, but i mean seriously, its almost a weekly thing if not more. I think theres quite a few threads in here about people almost falling for it and stuff. Old news...
