Well, I heard that if you drive both of them off a cliff, in both cases you die...
Guess that about sums it up.

Not always the case
To the original poster, go drive both and buy the one you like. Do not make threads like this, they are a waste. This will be locked.

Re: s2000 vs. sti (DC2SIR-G)
man, now this is a weird comparason,
let's see
AWD vs RWD
2dr vs 4dr
turbo vs n/a
sti is a better daily driver, its faster, easier to drive, handles better.

STi IMO.
The AP is a nice car, but I'd still take the AWD and driver controlled VCD of the STi
over the RWD s2k. Plus I think the Adjustability of the VCD can put like 70% of available power to the rear if Im thinking right.
Thats just one mans opinion.

well they probably handle the same, but it take a way better for the S to see full potential.

I've driven STI/WRX's. They don't do it for me. They may be faster (a lot in the straights, par in the twisties), but faster does not = more fun. I felt more connected with the S2k.

sorry but no, both car drives totally different
it's the driver's call so i cannot saying which one is superior(handling wise)
powerwise is no comparison, Sti got boost

Re: (THiNK s2k)
STI's eat **** compared to EVO's.... they handle like dick. and to the poster who said it takes a better driver for the S2K to see it's full potential... not really. i've said it before and i will say it again. more grip does not by any means mean better handling. why don't ANY racecars use AWD... yeah, you have the occasional Audi and RB26DETT but whatever. those are two in a group of thousands. for RALLY where maximum grip, NOT maximum handling is required, the STI/EVO platform is optimum, but for a track it's a bullshit setup. the S2K you just have to have more *****. in the S2K stock... you will get sideways. alot. easy. but it's so linear and progressive that it doesn't even take hardly any skill to control it.

Re: (s2kb0i)
Let me break it down to you:
Brake late. Chase an STi into a corner, barely catch up with it. As soon as you hit the gas, SO DOES HE! Guess who flies out of the corner first. Voila! That boost is going to reduce your "S2k POWA!" ego to dust. It's pure logic, mechanics, and physics. It takes quite a bit of mods to touch an STi in performance.
Personally, with full suspension, seam welds, gutting, and bolt tons, AND 255/40/17s ALL AROUND, I could eat up Evo's and STi, but those are stock. Once they have any decent amount of mods of them, it's over.

You have no idea what you are saying. A S2K is not easy to take to its full limit. Ask anyone who has tracked their car. There are people who have 10-20+ track days and still have not reached the cars limit. Its normally the drivers limit that is reached before the cars.

STI = Faster.. but borrrringggg~ turbo lag sux~ UGLY
S2k= Fast enough~~ very very very fun to drive~ attractive~
i would never choose a STI over S2k~

You're wrong about the lag, btw. They have hardly any lag time at all, of course they aren't as powerful, but there is very minimal lag. I have driven my friends when it was stock, and when he got the force performance red's on.
Once you start making 500+whp, then you are receiving quite a bit of lag. And yes, that car can move.
I wouldn't count one over the other, it really comes down to preference, so choose what is right for you
