Anyone know where i can find more info on the SC for this car? Such as dyno #'s.

 

I think Sport Compact Car had a dyno chart a couple months ago. The problem with the setup is it's a centrifugal supercharger. So you don't get much at the low end. It's all top-end.

I'd find a turbo or get a roots-type blower.

In motortrend, they had a Mugen S2000 and it had a Mugen intake, headers, and exhaust, and it had a carbon fiber hard top. It was amazing. Anyways it shaved off almost .5 secs from 0-60

 

Our customer dynoed his car before and after the supercharger. Before: 203hp , and after 286hp,,,,,,,this was with the comptech supercharger and catback exhaust only. His email is ozystooked@aol.com if you would like to ask him some more questions.

The kit makes decent power, install is cake, and passes smogs. I`m very happy w/ it. It`s definetely better then the NA route.

 

There is a guy on ClubSi in the NorCal forum named Ozy who has a Comptech SC'd S2k.

 

my friend has a ALL comptech SC S2000, it made 299whp on the dyno but its really not that fast, he gets beat my friends BPU RX7 TT by more then he should..

i think turbo would be a much better way to go on a S2..

BPU is Basic Performance Upgrade.

For some reason Supra and RX-7 guys can't just say 'mod' or 'upgrade', they need a three-letter acronym for it

BPU actually refers to I/H/E/downpipe - it's easier to write BPU than to write all that. There's also BPU+ , which if I'm not mistaken, is BPU with additional boost

 

bpu is basically Intake, exhaust, and down pipe and boost upgrade... bpu+ junk is stuff like clutch, FMIC cams, cam gears tuning basically bpu is all the stuff u can do till u go single turbo.. once your single its APU(advanced performance upgrades)

my friend david has down pipe, exhaust, intake and running stock boost.. he only ran 13.6 @105 but i know he can do better cause he kills johns SC s2k and john runs low 13's..

well man, you cant compare that to an RX7 tt ...they are on a class of their own ( too fast ) Basic Mods on an RX7 runs 12's. i would wait until toda makes some nice cams for the S2K and build an All motor Beast.

 

yeh, dont get me wrong though, a SC S2k is pretty damn fast.. although i think if a turbo was pushing it, it would be faster... do they even make turbos yet for the S2?

If you go to http://www.s2000online.com you'll see that theres a few Turbos being developed for the car. Right now Car-Salon.com offers a turbo kit for the s2k, but the numbers aren't that impressive. At least they aren't for me, but the kit looks really nice. Check out the NOPI pictures and you'll see the kit. A few other kits are being developed, but no real information is available.

comtech makes a supercharger. Turbo magazine has tested one @ 5.5 psi it puts out 285.9 hp to the wheels...
