i have an 02 rsx-s....im looking to paint it s2000 yellow within the next couple of weeks....

my issue is whats the difference between the spa and rio pearls????

i try`d searching but no help....

i went to j`s gathering this last sunday...their was 4 yellow s2k`s lined up...the two in the middle were a darker yellow..i really liked that color....

please help...pictures will be a big plus...thanks ht!

 

the difference between rio and spa is rio is actually rio pearl...it has a pearl look to it.

but the spa yellow is pearl too???

by opinion whice ones better???

spa isn't as pearly as rio. spa is more flat.

 

but is the spa darker in color than the rio???

 

why dont u google both and see the difference.. or look up the paint codes on google and hope for a swatch.

i think the way to tell is that the rio is the more golden yellow, and the spa is the banana yellow.. if im wrong and u follow my advice, damn GG.

Youre 100% correct... the rio is a darker shade of yellow almost a golden, and the spa is def lighter kinda like a banana...

You want rio...I like it better than spa.

My vote would be to paint it whatever color of yellow Spoon painted their EK's.

Here ya go. this is a topic that comes up everyonce in a while, so I saved a picture, because at first I wasn't so sure myself.


Left = Spa
Right = Rio

 

IMO Rio is way nicer, honda wouldnt have switched it if it wasnt..I love my paint!
